What to contact us about
- Corrections. If any figure, formula, or claim on this site is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Our methodology page shows exactly how the calculator works, so specific reports ("the break-even month looks off for these inputs") are easy for us to reproduce and fix.
- Lender policy updates. Servicer recast fees and minimums change without notice. If your servicer's fee or minimum changed, tell us and include a link to the official document: a fee schedule, help-center page, or servicing bulletin. That is the standard of evidence we use on the recast fees page and lender pages like Chase, Wells Fargo, and Mr. Cooper, so a primary source lets us publish your update quickly.
- General questions about how recasting works or what the calculator assumes. Check how mortgage recasting works first: it answers most of what we get asked.
What makes a report easy to act on
Include the page URL, what the page currently says, what it should say, and where the correct information comes from. For calculator issues, paste the exact inputs you used so we can reproduce the result. You do not need to include any personal or loan-account information, and we would prefer that you leave it out; see our privacy policy for how little data this site handles by design.
Response time
We are a small team and read everything. Expect a reply within a few business days. Corrections with a primary source attached get priority.
What we cannot help with
We cannot give personal financial advice. We cannot tell you whether you, specifically, should recast, refinance, invest the money, or pay down other debt: that depends on your full financial picture, and we are not advisers.
