This site is a static website with a calculator that runs in your browser. That architecture makes this policy short, because there is very little data for us to collect in the first place.
Your calculator inputs never leave your browser
The recast calculator is client-side only. Loan balances, interest rates, lump sums, and every other number you type are processed entirely on your device. They are never transmitted to our servers, stored by us, or shared with anyone. Closing the page discards them. Our methodology page describes the math; none of it requires sending data anywhere.
No accounts, no personal data collected by us
There are no user accounts, no sign-up forms, no newsletters, and no tracking pixels operated by us. We do not collect names, email addresses, financial details, or any other personal information through this site. The only way we receive personal information is if you choose to email us, in which case we use your email address solely to reply.
Shareable links
The calculator can generate a shareable link that encodes your inputs in the URL itself. That URL exists only on your device until you choose to share it. If you send it to someone, they can see the inputs it contains, so treat a share link like the numbers inside it. We do not receive or log the contents of share links.
Hosting and server logs
Like virtually every website, the infrastructure that serves these pages may log standard request data: IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp. These logs are generated by our hosting provider as part of operating and securing the service. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors.
Advertising and third parties
We run no ad networks at launch. There are no third-party advertising scripts, no affiliate tracking, and no sale of data to anyone, because we hold no data to sell. External links to lender documents and government sources take you to sites governed by their own privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our practices change, and we will change the effective date above when we do. A material change, such as adding analytics or advertising, will be stated here plainly, not buried.
